Welcome to my counselling practice. I offer face to face counselling in Chilbolton, Stockbridge and on-line via zoom. If you are an older or disabled person it may be possible to arrange for me to come to you.

How I work

I am a humanistic, 'person-centred' counsellor. This approach to counselling is described as being 'non-directive' which means that I will support you to find the best way forward as an inividual rather than offering advice or trying to apply fixed ideas to how you should be or grow. This does not mean that I just sit and listen, but I am an active part in the relationship and can draw on my experience and training whilst being alongside you as a kind, respectful and empathic listener.

My experience

I set up my counselling practice when I finished my degree in 2018. I have been a bereavement (Cruse) and young people’s counsellor (No Limits). My focus for my dissertation and research was using humanistic counselling for people with autism. 

My experience includes working with people with a variety of themes such as loss,     anxiety and depression, career change/retirement, trauma, autism, being a refugee, identity and sexuality.

I have taught counselling skills at the adult education counselling department at Southampton City College helping to introduce trainee counsellors to intitial listening skills and different approaches to counselling. ​

​

Prior to studying for my counselling degree, I trained in non-dual healing which is something I can bring into sessions if you are interested in this approach.

 ​

I am also a teacher and musician with much experience of working with musical training and performance as well as children and adults in the educational environment.​​​​
